Modern Masters Metal Effects Primer is an innovative water-based acrylic primer that serves a unique purpose. It is specifically engineered to prevent Metal Effects Patina Aging Solutions and Rust Activators from penetrating wood, metal, or other reactive surfaces. The use of other primers is not recommended, as they may allow the solutions and activators to seep into the material, causing damage to the color and finish.

This primer is perfect for both interior and exterior surfaces, including metal, wood, drywall, paintable wall coverings, and canvas, preparing them for the application of Modern Masters Oxidizing Paints. Its low odor, low VOC, water-based formula makes it easy to apply. Additionally, it can be recoated in just 30 minutes and covers up to 320 square feet of surface area.

The formulation of this primer is truly unique, as it effectively blocks tannins, alkali salts, acid salts, and other contaminants. By doing so, it prevents rust and oxidation from forming underneath the paint film.
